Though the year has only just begun, Super Cooper is off to a busy start in 2016! We have lots of exciting news coming your way soon, but before we can share, we thought it was the perfect time to reflect on all of the amazing things we’ve done so far this winter thanks to our generous friends and sponsors.
Sips & Sparkles with Kendra Scott
In November Super Cooper was lucky enough to kick off the holiday season with the team at Kendra Scott at the Streets at Southpoint for an amazing Kendra Gives Back Party! Friends of the foundation were treated to a night of sweets, sips, and, best of all, shopping, with 20% of the night’s sales benefitting Super Cooper.
Thanks to the generosity of Kendra Scott and the many shoppers who joined us throughout the night, the foundation received over $730, funds that go directly to providing housing and support services for our families!
It was an incredible night, so in case you missed it, check out these photos to see the sweets, stunning jewelry, and several photos of the children and families who benefitted from the event!
Presents with a Purpose
The holiday spirit went into full swing on December 1st when Super Cooper, and Santa, returned to Al’s Burger Shack once again for Presents with a Purpose! Always generous, our long time partners and good friends at Al’s gave 15% of the nights sales to Super Cooper, providing crucial funds for the housing and support services the foundation provides year round.
Did you know that in 2015 we served 40 families? That’s TWICE as many as in 2014 and it’s thanks in a large part to partners like Al’s Burger Shack and the friends like you who always ensure a great turnout at these events!
In addition to funds raised through delicious meals, we collected gifts for children ages 0 to 8 and gift cards for our families, for everyday needs and to ensure that every child in the Duke and UNC Pediatric Oncology Clinics received a gift that year. A special shoutout to all those who adopted families as well–this year we successfully adopted 33 families between the two clinics!
Shop for a Cause with Athleta
Super Cooper had their second fundraiser Athleta fundraiser of the year on December 12th and once again it was a huge success! With a great group of volunteers, awesome shoppers, and the fantastic team at Athleta, Super Cooper raised $500 for the foundation, with funds going directly to the holiday adopt a family campaign. The funds raised brought a little joy to the families who struggled to find a smile this past holiday season, so thank you Athleta and everyone who joined us that day for your kindness!
