Elise Herman, President
Elise, also known as Grace, Elliott and Cooper’s mom, is a dedicated mother with a career in the pharmaceutical industry. Elise is passionate about her family and the community in which she lives. She actively pursues opportunities to give back to other families battling cancer. Elise was raised in Illinois and received her BS from the University of Illinois. She met and fell in love with a boy from Indiana and eventually settled in North Carolina, which she proudly calls home.
Justin Herman, Vice President
Justin, Grace, Elliot and Cooper’s super dad balances being a father, an executive and a passionate basketball fan. Justin originally hailed from Indiana, where his parents and twin sister currently live. Justin went to Indiana University and completed his MBA at UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School. He was swept off his feet by Elise and has given up his Hoosier roots in exchange for the Carolina blue sky.
Craig Wood, Secretary
Craig has been a CRM practitioner for over 18 years, building and implementing strategies and tactics for Fortune 500 companies. Craig founded Clarity Group to serve the unique strategic needs and customer relationship management opportunities facing non-profit and faith-based organizations. Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Craig was Group President of Yankelovich, a world-renowned information services consultancy offering marketing productivity solutions. He is considered one of the foremost experts in CRM and data-driven marketing and is a well-respected author, speaker and industry leader. Craig holds a B.S. degree in commerce with a dual concentration in Marketing and Management from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
Eric Montross, Director of Community Relations
Eric Montross is a former basketball standout and Academic All-American at the University of North Carolina (UNC), member of the 1993 UNC National Championship Team, and a nine year NBA veteran. A 1994 graduate of UNC in Speech Communications, he is a Major Gift Director and the Director of the Carolina Basketball Family Fund at the University of North Carolina’s Educational Foundation Inc., and is the color analyst for the Tar Heel Radio Sports Network during the men’s UNC basketball season. Eric is well-known for his philanthropic work benefiting children. After volunteering at the NC Children’s Hospital as a student-athlete he became an ardent supporter of the North Carolina Children’s Hospital. He and his wife Laura, founded the Eric Montross Father’s Day Basketball Camp in 1995, to benefit the NC Children’s Hospital. Just last year, the camp reached the milestone of 1 million dollars raised. Eric serves on numerous local and regional boards, and volunteers his time providing support, advice, and encouragement for children and nonprofits in the area.
Jennifer Thompson, Super ReCOOPERation House Coordinator
Jennifer is a mother of three who has always had a passion to serve others. Raised in Connecticut. Jennifer had very little trouble adjusting to her southern migration. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in psychology. Her masters in social work was obtained shortly thereafter at Boston College. Jennifer specializes in geriatrics with a strong interest in caregiving and grief support groups.
